ChatDock

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026  ·  Effective: September 13, 2026

ChatDock (the “App”) is published by Epochara (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, the legal bases for processing, how the information is handled, and the rights available to you. It is written to address, among others, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

1. Who We Are (Data Controller)

The data controller responsible for the processing described here is:

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland and wish to exercise a right or have a concern, you may contact us at the address above. Where required by GDPR Article 27, we will appoint a representative in the EEA/UK; their contact details will be published here and provided on request.

2. What ChatDock Is

ChatDock is an independent, third-party utility that lets you open and manage multiple accounts on supported messaging platforms (such as WhatsApp and Telegram) inside isolated in-app web containers, alongside optional news and utility tools.

Not affiliated. ChatDock is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with WhatsApp, Meta, Telegram, or any of their affiliates. All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We designed ChatDock so that sensitive data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit to our servers:

Your logins and sessions are kept locally on your device in isolated website data stores and are not sent to us. We do not operate a server that stores your messaging data.

4. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is stored only on your device and is removed when you delete the App:

5. Information Processed by Third-Party Services

Some features rely on third-party services. When you use those features, limited data may be processed by the third party as an independent controller or processor under its own privacy policy:

5.1 Advertising — Google AdMob

The App shows ads to free users via Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may process device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier), IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads. In the EEA/UK, personalized advertising is shown only with your consent, collected through a Google-certified consent mechanism (Google UMP / a consent management platform). You can change your choices at any time in the App’s privacy settings, and you can limit ad tracking in iOS (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). Purchasing Pro removes ads. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

5.2 In-App Purchases — Apple

Purchases (Pro subscription) are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details. We may receive non-identifying transaction information (such as a product identifier and purchase status) necessary to unlock purchased features.

5.3 AI Assistant — Groq

The AI reply feature uses an API key that you provide and send directly to the third-party provider (Groq). Your prompts are transmitted to that provider under its terms; we do not proxy, store, or have access to your prompts or API key.

5.4 News (RSS)

News content is fetched from publicly available third-party RSS feeds. Those providers may receive standard request data (such as your IP address) as part of serving content.

5.5 Device Permissions

Camera, Photos, Microphone, and Face ID permissions are used strictly on your device to provide features you invoke (for example, scanning a QR code, importing a photo, recording audio, or unlocking the vault). We do not upload this content to our servers.

6. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

7. Your Privacy Rights (EEA / UK / Switzerland)

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

Because we do not retain personal data on our servers, many requests can be fulfilled by managing data on your device or uninstalling the App. For anything else, contact us at chatdock.support@epochara.com; we will respond within the time required by law. Some data is controlled by third parties (e.g., Google, Apple); requests relating to that data should be directed to them.

8. International Data Transfers

We are established outside the EEA/UK. Some of our service providers (such as Google and Apple) are located in the United States and other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable. You may contact us for more information about the safeguards used.

9. Advertising, Cookies and Similar Technologies

The App does not use cookies in the traditional web sense. The App and its advertising partner use device identifiers and similar technologies to display and measure advertising. In the EEA/UK, such use for personalized advertising is subject to your prior consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Our website may store your language preference locally in your browser (local storage). Our website uses a self-hosted analytics tool (Matomo) to measure aggregate traffic — which pages are viewed and which links or sections are clicked. It runs without cookies: nothing is stored in your browser, IP addresses are truncated before storage, and Do Not Track is honoured. It is never used for advertising or profiling, and the data stays on our own servers.

10. Data Retention

We do not retain personal data on our servers. Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. Third-party services retain data according to their own policies. Aggregate website analytics are stored with truncated IP addresses and deleted after 180 days.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children’s Privacy

ChatDock is not directed to children. In the EEA/UK, we do not knowingly process personal data of children below the applicable age of digital consent (up to 16, or the lower age set by your Member State). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
